Who made all of these dishes?

I am often wondering how in the world and where in the world are these dishes accumulating from!
There's only 2 of us home during the day and then 3 people after 230 pm and then 4 after 4 pm.
My goodness! 4 people in this house and we create this much havoc in the kitchen?
I am still salty our first born moved out on her own. She knew good and well, we needed help with these kids! LOL
Mark my words, the minute I hit it big, I am going to hire a nanny and a housekeeper and if I hit it really big, a chef too! What???!
Oh, please! Throw your judgment eyes somewhere else!
I don't care. I will be off to the beach in my drop top and chauffeur.
Hah!

Teach the kids how to cook! Why!!!??? Scroll to see.

My son made his first pie yesterday. He isn't allowed to do the oven part yet.
He's too young!
No seriously!
I am so nervous about kids and stoves!
Besides, my husband said if anything bad happens to the kids, it will happen to me. He wasn't smiling ya'll.
So, in closing,
Always teach the kids how to cook so you'll have more time to catch up on DVR shows!
Atlanta Housewives!! Holla at ya girl.
What??? Oh, please! You're just mad you didn't think of it first! LOL

It's that time of year again! Spring Cleaning!
I don't really complain when it's time to clean. I have a room by room list of what to clean and the easiest most effective way of accomplishing it. For the most part, it's been doing the job and I am pleased with the outcome. Although, I don't mind cleaning, I have to admit, there's one place in the house that really gives me pause and that's cleaning the bathrooms and more specifically the toilets!
Thankfully, Mom Central sent me a Clorox Toilet Wand to help with the toilet cleaning task. The best part, I can do it with one hand and can be done in less than 2 minutes. Say, What? Sign me up. Now and Thank You!

There are 5 easy steps to using this product!
1. Open the package
2. Insert the cleaning disk onto the wand
3. Dip the cleaning disk (attached to the wand) into the toilet and scrub, scrub, scrub.
4. Release the cleaning disk into the TRASH can and not the toilet. Seriously, trust me on this one. You don't want a CLOGGED toilet do you? Of course not. :-)
5. Insert the wand into the holding station for next use.
(I wiped the wand with a piece of bathroom tissue just to be on the safe side)

AAP UPDATES RECOMMENDATION ON CAR SEATS Children should ride rear-facing to age 2, use a booster until at least age 8

The new suggested RECOMMENDATIONS from the AAP were recently released HERE.  There are car seats that rear face up to 40 pounds and other car seats that will harness up to 65 pounds.  It's safer to REAR face for as long as possible.  The term is extended rear facing.  It would be helpful for car seat professionals to visit the hospitals or pediatrician offices and give out this information ahead of time so that parents can make the educated decisions before forward facing their kids beforehand.

I've always believed if you don't know any better then you shouldn't be concerned but, once you've been given the information and choose to ignore it, that's where the problems might arise.  Everyone has to make the right choices for their families.  There are so many "rules" out there about all of these topics it will make your head spin.  The most important thing about all of this is to please be sure to FIVE point HARNESS children for as long as possible.  It will protect them better than a BOOSTER seat ever will.

After watching this video, I am a BELIEVER in Car Seat Safety.  Check your local state guidelines for Car Seat Safety and make a decision based on what level of safety you want for your family.

If you would like detailed information to assist with your decision on Car Seat Safety, click HERE.

Snapshot of the Recommendations:

Rear-Facing until age 2
Booster seat until 4'9" tall
All children in backseat until age 13

My son (age 6) currently has the Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat which will take him up to 65 pounds forward facing and then 100 pounds with the booster seat.

My daughter (age 22 months) currently has the Graco My ride 65 Car Seat  which will take her up to 40 pounds rear facing and 65 pounds forward facing.

Good Luck on making decisions regarding safety for your family.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.  I LOVE talking about Car Seat safety and more.

Question:  Do you have anything to add to this topic?

Bausch and Lomb Bio True Multipurpose Solution Review-Mom Central Blog Tour 2011

I have worn glasses and contacts for most of my adult life.  I can't remember a time when I didn't need vision assistance.

I am a regular contact lens wearer but, I have been experiencing problems with finding a multi use solution that doesn't BURN the heck out of my eyes upon lens insertion.

To avoid eye problems, I remove them every night because I hate waking up with dry eyes and discomfort.

Just in time for the allergy battling season, I received an invitation to join the Mom Central Biotrue Blog Tour and a very cute bag and sample of the Bio True Multi-Purpose Contact Lens Solution.  I am very excited about finding a solution that will take great care of my lenses and will not irritate my eyes.

To find out more about their outstanding lens care, here's the information from the website:

Biotrue is inspired by the biology of your eyes™. It goes beyond cleaning by being the only*solution to bring together three bio-inspired innovations:
  • Has a lubricant found naturally in your eyes
  • Matches the pH of healthy tears
  • Keeps certain beneficial tear proteins active
Biotrue works like your eyes to provide you with the health and comfort your eyes deserve, helping to make lens wear easier on your eyes.

Biotrue provides unsurpassed disinfection that healthy eyes need:

Biotrue combines a dual disinfection system with the unique bio-inspired attributes of a pH equal to healthy tears and protein management, to provide unsurpassed disinfection.

Biotrue utilizes hyaluronan, a lubricant found naturally in the eyes:

Biotrue hydrates contact lenses in a way that eyes stay hydrated — by utilizing hyaluronan (HA), a lubricant found throughout the body.

Biotrue matches the pH of healthy tears:

Eyes that are healthy continually create the perfect environment. That's why Biotrue is uniquely formulated to match the pH of healthy tears — maintaining the eye's natural condition and enabling optimal activation of our dual disinfectants.

Biotrue keeps certain beneficial tear proteins active as they are naturally in the eye:

  • Proteins in their native state act as the eye's inborn germ-fighters, carrying out antimicrobial activities on their own.
  • Proteins that are denatured have lost their structure due to factors such as external stresses. Biotrue lifts and removes denatured proteins.

  • $1 off coupon
to purchase Bio True at your local retailer HERE.
  • Bonus--Click HERE for a chance to win prizes sponsored by Bio True.
  • Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a Mom Central Consulting blog tour on behalf of Bausch + Lomb Biotrue. I received a Biotrue sample and a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.

Discount Books!

We scored some really great books at the thrift shop today! 4 books for $1.

That's NOT funny. That's HURTFUL.

I have to deal with a person that has been trying to get under my skin for a minute.  The crazy part is, I am trying to figure out the best way to approach it so that it doesn't come across petty.  Yeah, too funny.  I have to tip toe around this person when they NEVER consider anyone else's feelings.  Go figure.

I will always remember the tidbit of information Paula Abdul told a girl on Season 3 about her attitude.

She said, "There's a fine line between attitude that's fun and playful and then just being disrespectful for NO REASON" and I never forgot that because while I might be the funny haha girl of the group, please know that I have feelings and I am very cautious to never hurt anyone's feelings or make jokes to put someone down.  Please, explain to me why there's this ONE person who always makes her way over to my vicinity to say any and everything out of her mouth.

Hmmm...I am starting to feel like Whitney right about now...NOT TODAYYYY BOBBBY!

Baby see. Baby do.

I am cracking up over my baby girl today. She mimics a lot of things she sees us doing in this house.
Everyday when DJ comes home, I always tell him to empty out his shoes because there's always sand in his shoes.
The other day, we dumped so much sand out of his shoes, I said this is too much sand boy!
Today, gracen took out djs shoes and started babbling about something and then she said...BOY and started pointing her fingers! Hahaa!!!
Oh wow, is that the way I look when I am stressing about sand in his shoes?
Too funny!

Wonder Pets saved me!

My daughter is at the point where she will RUN when she sees the "hair caddy" which consists of hair moisturizer, comb, brush, barrettes and more!

It's funny how she knows exactly what time it is when she sees it and will run to daddy QUICK!

Well, I try to keep up with her hair and do it every other day or so.

It is a JOB in itself and I am always looking for creative ways to style her hair.

My routine consists of washing, conditioning, moisturizing and then braiding or twisting her hair.

This entire process (from wash to finish) took about an hour!

Thankfully I had an episode of Wonder Pets on the DVR, it kept her attention and I just ignored the annoying little voices on the show of course! (heyyy Shelly) :-)

My goodness, what are we going to do when her hair starts to grow more and more and then she gets older and will really know how to run and hide?

*sigh*

Thankfully the Wonder Pets were on for the braiding session and it didn't take me long to braid it up.  I have learned to do the back FIRST because she gets really fidgety when it's time to do the back part of her hair!

Crossing my fingers this style will last for at least a week.  Yeah Right!  :)

A day at the park with the family!

The weather was great!
We decided to go to our local park and then for a scavenger hunt.

The kids always get tired and want you to pick them up.

My question is what happens when the adults get tired?

Who will pick us up and carry us on their backs?

Too Funny!

We had a great day.

After the park, we went to lunch and ice cream for dessert.

Long Naps and then pot luck dinner with family and friends.

We had a GREAT weekend!  How was yours?
