This is a very random question! Do you keep an eye on items when they run low in the fridge OR will your family let you know when the items are running low? Down to how many items of an item would you consider purchasing more of an item.

I try to keep up with whats running low but I always fail miserably. And NO my family never tells me we are low on something until it is gone!
My intention is to always keep track of what is running low, but it never works out that way. I'm always out of eggs, milk, and butter.
The family will only say when we're out of something.

I try my best to inventory the fridge every 2-3 days and keep a post it with urgent needs and needs that can wait for a big shopping. Milk is usually the exception and Hubby will have to bring a gallon home after work.
