I received the sweetest email today. ###I miss u so much I went and hugged your daughter today ")### Funny how when you're feeling a bit stressed or down, an email or phone call can brighten your day. My friend Anna sent this message and photo to me today! I just had to share how much this truly made my day. It's hard being away from family and special friends during the holidays. She knew exactly how to make my day! Thank You God for bringing the right friends into my life! Thank You Anna for brightening up my entire DAY with your kindness!!

My Afro Puffs!

I need some help with different hairstyles for Gracen. The puffs are cute and very easy to do but, it's time for some orther types of styles. Where do you find inspiration for doing your little girl's hair? She's catching on to my tricks to keep her occupied while trying to do her hair. I need some quick and cute styles! Please help.

Age Limits are there for a reason.

I am still in SHOCK that I allowed my 18 month old up inside the toy contraption at Burger King. They had fun, Darrin and I were able to eat our lunch in a little bit of peace while the kids ran around in the play area and you know G was the ring leader of the two.  It was the best 3 minutes in a long time.

Pants on the ground!-Almost!

Ok, please enlighten me on the latest fashion of wearing your pants in this manner. I have lost count on how many people I have seen with their pants across their behinds. If this is the new style, I PASS!!!

Lesson for the day! Please, ALWAYS check your drive-thru order! Come on now, this is a NO-BRAINER! Why are the lessons always the BIGGEST to learn at my expense? *sigh*

Visiting friends and family is the single biggest reason Americans travel during the holidays. Visits account for 53% of all Thanksgiving long-distance trips, and 43% of long-distance trips during Christmas/New Year's.

Visits make up only 24%of all long-distance travel during the remainder of the year. While travel to visit family and relatives is up significantly during the holidays, other pleasure and leisure travel remains relatively unchanged.

 With so many motorists expected on the roadways, everyone should avoid driver distractions such as cell phones and texting, as well as avoid "driver fatigue" and not attempt a long drive home at night, especially if there's any drowsiness after enjoying a hearty Thanksgiving dinner. 

On Thanksgiving Day we're all especially susceptible to 'carb-overload' and when you couple that with the tryptophan that is present in turkey and other meats, and perhaps an alcoholic beverage, many of us are ready for a nap.

Tryptophan can contribute to a feeling of drowsiness and motorists must be aware of that and avoid driving if they feel tired. It's much better to stay put rather than place yourself and others at risk. A fresh start in the morning after you've rested makes a world of difference. If you're driving over Thanksgiving, take a break every 2 hours.

It's MONDAY!!!!

Good Morning! It's Monday and the beginning of a great week! Today is Coffee Morning with my Friends, Tuesday-Bible Study with Friends Wednesday-Marine Corps Birthday and a Special Recognition for all Military Family and Friends Thursday-Clean and Organize Day Friday-Spa Day and Kids After School Fun, Saturday-Marine Corps Ball. Operation Potty!

Here we GO! All of my kids took FOREVER and DAY and a HALF of a weekend to full potty train. 

Danyelle-age of 3 and DJ-age 4. Don't judge him. He was having fun "watering the lawn" for about 5 months. LOL!

She has been waking up with dry diapers during nap time. We are introducing her to the Potty. Not in a rush but, making she she gets very acquainted with where to go and do her business ;-)  


This is the coolest seat, The Royal Step Stool Potty.  Special Thanks to Jennifer at Thanks for My Freckles Blog.  Her Daughter's are all fully trained and she passed the seat on to me!  Very Cool!  Saved me a cool $22 :-)

Coffee Time with Family and Friends!  As many of you know, we host a weekly coffee fellowship at my house and it has truly grown over the months.  With the Christmas Season slowly but surely arriving, this is a PERFECT time to sample a variety of Coffee Flavors.
