Always wear clean underwear!

Question(s)

Do you:

1. Fix your hair up before going to hairdresser?
2. Brush and floss before going to dentist?
3. Always wear clean underwear you might get into a car accident, because that's what your mom always told you to do?

Quick...add a words of wisdom you were told as a child growing up!

I'm Quirky?

My husband to me: You're Quirky!
Me: Excuse me? What is that supposed to mean?
Him: It means just what I said. You're Quirky!
Me: Should I be offended? Are you calling me names or something?
Him: Just take it whatever way you wanna take it but, trust me when I tell you that you're QUIRKY!
Me: Silently pondering if I should just let it go.
Him: I know you're stewing over there so, I'll just say this. Have you noticed how every time you go to read a magazine you freak out a little bit?
Me: Huh? What? Freak out?
Him: POINTING at what I have in my hands

Me: Hey! Just because I rip all these pesky inserts out BEFORE I can enjoy a magazine doesn't make me Quirky!
Him: Hmmmm....Oooooookay. Whatever you say!

Alright that does it, I have to take a poll. Am I the ONLY ONE on this planet that can't stand those magazine inserts?

Who's willing to join the 'QUIRKY' side with me?

You mean to tell me Black Women stay at home to take care of their kids too? Say Word!

Miss Quiskaeya is PREACHING this morning people!  You don't want to miss out on this yummy discussion.

Turns out there are some people in this world SHOCKED to find out that there are BLACK STAY AT HOME MOMS in this world.

Go on over and check out what she has to say.  I am raising my church fan in the air, swinging it back and forth humming my favorite song.

Excerpt from post:  What about the black Mamas who are staying at home because they see their children as their greatest investments; the most important blessings worth any financial sacrifice; and the biggest honor bestowed a woman? What about these black Mamas?

What are your thoughts????

Why is that SOME people think they know what's right for YOU?

start vent:

I had someone tell me that I should try for a VBAC. I must have been having a 'good day' because I gave the person my exact thoughts and feelings on how I feel about them ASSUMING that all pregnancies are all the same. Yeah, the pregnant lady was let loose! Before I knew it I was on a roll and pretty much told her to watch what she says to the next chick.

I can hold my own, I know how to speak up for myself and advocate what's right or wrong when it comes to ME. Not everyone can do that.

WOW, I had NO idea I felt so strongly about having a csection. Hey, I'm all for everyone making the right decision for what's right for them so, I guess my feelings are, if I respect your decision you best bet to respect mine.

Now do you see why I am so hesitant to discuss my personal life with people? Thus publicly announcing my pregnancy when I was 6 months along. The minute I do, here they come with their professional outhouse experience. Rolls my eyes!

Come on already, I think many people that know me, know that I am the research queen. I read up about every single thing if I have a question about it and I am very KNOWLEDGEABLE about my medical history and know what my risks are for going into labor THEREFORE I must have a csection.

Remember, I've had my share of medical bumps. Repeat Csections, Uterine Fibroids, Blood Transfusions, Myomectomy, Iron IV infusions, I would go on but, I think you see where I'm going with this. I'm no rookie when it comes to medical interventions!

Overall, I was truly blessed with a doctor that saved my baby making parts and has made it possible (with my husband of course) to have these babies after being told I should just have a hysterectomy (at the young age of 30) to end the pain of it all.

Yeah, so, when I was told that a hysterectomy was my only option, off to the research lab I went. Ok, I'm done talking about that. I mean come on already.

Am I the only one that has received UNSOLICITED advice especially from people that don't even know JACK about your medical history? They're just going by what they 'feel' and what they 'believe' to be right.

Hey, if you want to huff and puff and push your guts out have a vaginal/natural/epidural/bathtub/in your bed/whatever type of birth....then go for it.

I will NEVER be able to go that route and to be honest, it doesn't appeal to me at all. HEY, again, different strokes for different folks. Need I say more?

A csection is my only safe route. THE END!

Better yet, I've come to terms with it, I trust my doctor and the entire team that will oversee my procedure. At my last visit with her when she told me that God will see us through this...I was HOOKED! A doctor telling you that GOD will see us through this journey? She takes NO CREDIT for what she has been trained to do and how blessed am I to experience this!

Here's the deal, let's focus on everyone being an individual and not every pregnancy is the same.

That's like a vegetarian coming in my face telling me how horrible I am for eating chicken.

My response: Cluck! Cluck! I don't give a......

Nevermind.

I'm going to bed.

end vent.

Signs that I am LOSING my marbles!

Went back in house to get water jug came back with everything but the jug.

Since I didn't have my water with me, stopped at Starbucks to get some.

She charged me 25 cents.

Fail!

Preparing for a sibling.

We're doing our best to spend as much one on one time with DJ before our baby arrives.  We realize our entire family dynamic will change and want the transition to be as smooth as possible.

Today DJ had so much fun just hanging out in his sister's room BLARING the rock music and jumping up and down on her bed.  It was as if he was so proud of himself for breaking some kind of law.  He kept running in the living room declaring that Danyelle let him jump and down on her bed!

See Mommy, Danyelle lets me jump up and down on her bed.  I guess that was supposed to make me feel guilty about not allowing him to do it on my bed.  Hey, I don't mind if he jumps on my bed but, he wants to do it when I'm still in the bed trying to sleep.

What?  My kid wakes up before I do.  Whatcha wanna make out of it? Hah!

Anyway back to the story.  She took these very cool photos of DJ having fun in a clothes hamper.  Who needs toys when you have a collapsable clothes hamper as a toy?

Rock and Roll music, clothes hamper, cookies and milk, all the fun to be had with big sister!

Question:  How did you prepare your kids on becoming a sibling?  Any tips you can share?

All types of WRONG.

Remember THIS?
Looks like another one has appeared!

POST what's WRONG about this photo.

Again, please don't shoot the messenger!
HaHa!

Happy Monday-I'm not awake yet.

Happy Monday! How was your weekend?

My weekend was JAM PACKED with activities and all around fun times spent with my family!

We went to Disneyland! SQUEEEEEEEALLLLLL! We had so much fun. How can you go to the happiest place on earth and not have a great time?   Fantastic Food, Entertainment, and more.

I saw some of my favorite mommy bloggers, reps from Disneyland (waving to Michele and Heather) that treated us like ROYALTY as always!!!!!! oh and I bumped into my sweet friend Deedra and most of all, Woody (Buzz Lightyear) rubbed up on my belly.  Now that was too funny!

My camera is on the fritz right now.   The photos are on the card but, the uploading isn't working.  I'll try again tomorrow.  Until then, you'll have to use your imagination on how much fun was had!

In the meantime, take a gander at my all time favorite photo.

The photo below (my friend Natasha gave me permission to post this photo of her daughter) is exactly how I feel now that the weekend is over:

Have you ever had a RUDE nurse or doctor?

I just recently read about a close friend who had the most RUDEST nurse ever. Her contractions are 2 minutes apart and the nurse tells her that she doesn't look like she's in labor! Hello!!!!! NOT EVERY woman in labor screams and hollers. Some women know how to manage the pain and channel their inner SCREAM!

Her contractions stopped and needless to say, they sent her home. Her baby is clearly sending messages that he's ready to show up anytime now. How could anyone be rude to her? If you know her, then you'll know that she is the most sweetest person on the planet!

See, that could NEVER be me. NO WAY!!!!

It just would NOT go down like that. I've NEVER experienced a RUDE doctor or nurse. I am PRAYING PRAYING PRAYING that I never ever have to experience a situation like this. I am a really sweet patient though. Don't get me wrong, I don't go up in the hospital acting a fool, I am humble yet firm with my situation at hand.

For instance, my last delivery the nurse told me she was going to put my catheter in BEFORE she went home for the day. My response, UMMM NO YOU'RE NOT. You can go home, the next nurse on duty can put it in once I'm numb in the operating room. Have a great evening.  HUGE GRIN!

Needless to say, she went home and probably talked sh*t about me on her way home but, she did NOT put the catheter in BEFORE I entered the operating room. Hey, I am punk when it comes to pain. If I could request to be numbed to insert a dang on tampon I would. Hah!

What if I were to encounter a RUDE nurse? My first thoughts are to request a new nurse OR raise hell until a new relief shows up. Press the panic button screaming....HELP! This nurse pinched me, HELP! somebody please, come save me. Shoot, somebody would have to come and rescue me.

I'm a drama queen!<<--are you shocked?

Question: Have you ever had a RUDE doctor or nurse? Let's hear about it in the comment section. IF you're a nurse or doctor, please tell us about a hellish patient that made you want to slap the hell out of the patient! Hey, we're equal opportunity here! LOL

Bliss is when....

Your husband uses a Bath and Body Works coupon without complaining!

What is your bliss?

Have you ever forgotten that you were pregnant?

During your (current or past) pregnancy, have you ever forgotten for a split second that you were pregnant?

For instance, you made plans to do something or go somewhere only to realize, OOPS, I'm pregnant, I can't go or I can't do that?

Take for instance, bowling.  There I was, having a blast, running up and down the lanes, throwing the balls having a ball.

Then one of my friends said are you supposed to be bowling when you're pregnant?

Instantly, I became paranoid.  I felt like OMG, am I hurting myself?  Am I hurting the baby?  Then my friend's husband (who's a doctor) says, you're FINE! Even though he said I was fine, it was just the thought of possibly hurting myself that made me sit out the rest of the game.

Pregnancy Paranoia can send your mind in so many directions!

Another time, my family and I were at Disneyland yesterday and I wanted to go on the roller coaster!  Ok, Ok, I know roller coasters are OFF limits but, the feeling to want to experience the rush of California Screaming wouldn't stop calling my name!  I didn't get on the roller coaster but, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to walk past and hear the screams and secretly wish I could be on the ride SCREAMING along with the crowd!

Question:  During your (current or past) pregnancy, have you ever forgotten for a split second that you were pregnant?  Let's hear about it in the comments.

I don't play with puppies!

Has anyone ever heard of the saying, "Don't play with puppies because they will lick you in the mouth?"  If so, what does it mean?

Remember when....

Remember THIS?

It was funny then and oh boy it's still funny now!

HaHa!!!!

I can't look at a Starbucks without thinking of that incident.

Please, help my husband out.  Let him know he's NOT THE ONLY one that has encountered an incident similar to this!

What did you have for dinner

BBQ chicken, or (bbq ribs for the swine lovers), corn-cob, coleslaw (no mayo), baked vegetarian beans, sweet cornbread with corn inside, lemonade, red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting........

*********Let me know what you had for dinner in the comment section!

What is the timeline for sending out thank you cards?

I have a stack of cards to send out and I need to get them out.  I want to hand write each and every card.   It's the RIGHT and ONLY way to go.  Don't get me wrong, It's what I love to do.

I fear people will think I suck for being almost 2 weeks late at getting these out.  I have 11 more days before my baby arrives, I need to get on top of my game!

Would it be tacky to get Juliet (who just created the most awesome service ever) to do the deed for me?  Yeah, that would be wrong especially since she's ONE OF THE PEOPLE on my list to send a card to.

HaHa!  Yeah, that would be interesting.  I'm so bad.  That's why you love me!

Question:  What is the proper timeline for sending out thank you cards?  Do you send out thank you cards?  Have you ever been 'stiffed' for a thank you card?  Is it tacky to send an electronic thank you card?

Talk to me!  And don't worry, I am going to send out these thank you cards myself.  BEFORE I have this baby.  Whew.  The pressure bar has been set.

*faints*

Ready, Set, JUMP for JOY....It's the Weekend Baby!

‘Get 2 More Nights Free’ to Savor All the Exciting

New Summer Entertainment At Disneyland Resort

New Travel Packages Deliver Great Value and

Complement ‘Free on Your Birthday’ Offer

ANAHEIM, Calif. (March 25, 2009) – With free admission to a theme park on your birthday throughout 2009, new adventures and entertainment at both Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure parks, and a special travel offer that will add two free nights to your three-night stay, a visit to the Disneyland Resort this summer offers value-minded vacationers plenty to celebrate.

By purchasing a three-night Disneyland Resort vacation package this summer, guests can magically extend their visit with an offer worth celebrating: Get two more nights free!  This special Disneyland summer vacation offer provides a magical and affordable way for families to take in all the new fun and adventures at the Happiest Place on Earth this vacation season.

“We know travelers are looking for great value in their vacations,” said Ed Grier, president, Disneyland Resort.  “With the new ‘2 Nights Free’ offer and all of the new entertainment and attractions at our parks, we are providing our Guests with even more reasons to come celebrate with us this summer.”

With the new summer vacation packages, guests pay for three nights of hotel accommodations and three days of theme park admission, and then receive two more nights at the hotel and two more days of theme park admission.  Together, the special deal provides guests five days and nights of Disneyland fun, for the price of three.

Bookings for this limited-time offer must be made between March 24 and August 11, 2009. The summer vacation package offer for two more nights free is valid at all three Disneyland Resort Hotels – Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa for arrivals between April 1 and September 26, 2009. Beginning May 1, the offer is also available at participating local Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotels, providing guests with a wide range of hotel accommodations and prices to fit every budget. Guests at a Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotel must also begin their travel by September 26.

New Entertainment and Experiences

In 2009, the Disneyland Resort is pulling out all the stops by asking guests, “What Will You Celebrate?”  As part of the yearlong celebration, guests will enjoy many new magical experiences.  “Celebrate! A Street Party” launches this spring at Disneyland Park.   A cast of dancers, DJs and Disney characters invite guests to join the celebration as they take to the street for a high-energy street party featuring lively music, colorful costumes, confetti and streamers. Guests will join in twist dancing, a conga line and all the colorful fun of a celebration on Main Street, U.S.A., or at “it’s a small world” mall.

Meanwhile, because there’s so much in life worth celebrating, in April, Disneyland Park will also present the Celebration Roundup and Barbecue at Big Thunder Ranch, a good ol’ cowboy-style hoedown featuring food and fun for the whole family.

This summer the Happiest Place on Earth will be the Most Exciting Place on Earth!  At Disneyland Park, Fantasmic! is bigger, brighter and bolder than ever before.  And the skies above Sleeping Beauty Castle will come to life with a spectacular new fireworks show that will have guests celebrating across the Magic Kingdom.  Over at Disney’s California Adventure Park, Tinker Bell works her pixie magic and brings a bright new sparkle to the guest-favorite and classic Disney’s Electrical Parade.

In 2009, guests can also visit a Disney park for free on their birthdays. For guests who wish to visit on their birthdays and also take advantage of the paid summer treat of two more nights free, the Resort offers a selection of birthday treat options available with the packages. Just present your valid Park Hopper ticket on your birthday at the Main Entrance ticket booths and receive one of the following options instead of the free theme park birthday admission:

  • A birthday FASTPASS ticket for certain attractions for up to six people in the birthday party (the number of birthday FASTPASS tickets is limited and may not be available after 11am; all guests must have valid Theme Park admission).  Or…

  • A Birthday Fun Card in an amount equal to the price of a 1-Day/1-Park Disneyland Resort ticket (based on general admission price or the reduced admission price for Guests ages 3-9 at the Main Entrance ticket booth, respectively).  The Birthday Fun Card can be used at participating locations in the theme parks for select merchandise, Disney’s PhotoPass on-site services and tours.  Or…

  • A 1-Day/1-Park Ticket that can be used anytime in the next 12 months, starting from the celebrant’s date of birth.  This ticket may be used by the Birthday celebrant only.

Money Games Book!

Money Games: 85 Fun Ways to Save Money and Attract Abundance, by Randy Petrick

Click HERE to order a copy of the Money Games Book.

When I received my copy of the book, I was quite impressed that Randy took the time to personalize a message to the winners thanking us for taking interest in reading his book.

Here's a snippet of what he has to say:
"I'm more concerned with getting the book out to people who can really profit from its wisdom than I am in generating personal profit," Randy said.
"Right from the start I just asked God to help get it to those who could really use it."

Thank you again Randy for your generosity!
I am still reading through the book.  I will be back to give my review but, wanted to get the word out about your awesome endeavor.

Blessing of Friendship-Spring Luncheon 2009

We were able to attend the
Blessing of Friendship-Spring Luncheon 2009

Featuring Guest Speaker and Performer

I love this photo.
As you can see, there's a light above my friend Deedra's head.

That isn't an accident!
If you're ever lucky enough to meet Deedra, you've met a friend for life.  She is the sweetest and most caring woman ever.  I remember the first day I met her, I just sat back and admired her from a distance.

She was funny, energetic, on fire for the Lord, and through all that she's been through, she always, always finds a way to give God all the glory.  She's such an inspiration to everyone around her.  The way she loves her sons, her husband, her family and her friends, shows throughout everything she does.

She's an author and writes children's christian books, She's a friend that always lends an ear to listen and will ALWAYS have a scripture to provide that extra added encouragement.

She and her family are expecting a baby in August 2009.  Their birth mom has chosen their family and I have to say, she made the 10000% correct decision and couldn't have chosen a better family to nourish and love their baby.

Deedra beams with excitement and joy when she speaks of her adoption journey along with other life hurdles, she always has a positive word to round off the most trying of situations a person can go through.

You'll notice there's ANOTHER light right above her head.  I'm telling you, this is NOT BY ACCIDENT!  The signs are there!  She is a beam of light where ever she goes~
Left to right (Audrey, Deedra, Tanyetta and Melissa)

Now, what kind of event would this be without

The FOOD!
YUM!

Menu:
Chicken Salad on a bed of greens
Wedge of Winchester Farms Gouda Cheese
Vegetable Relish
Croissant
Assorted Fresh Fruit
Pecan Bar Partially Dipped in Chocolate
Spring Water, Iced Tea, Coffee

Starry Night Personalized Name Cards
made by our table host Karina.

I would have preferred my chicken salad without the celery and onions but, overall, I really enjoyed all of it and was tempted to accept seconds when the time arrived but, I decided against it.  You know, didn't want to come off as the hungry pregnant woman at the table that had extra helpings ya know!

Special thanks to my friend Tammy for the tickets to the event.
Please keep her family in your prayers.  Her husband is on a deployment to Afghanistan until August.  She's in good hands.
Our group of friends are there to support her.

She wasn't able to attend and had two extra tickets which meant my friend Deedra and I were able to attend!  How sweet is that!

Not saying she should have done it...BUT, I UNDERSTAND!

I'm not saying I agree with this Mother but, I surely UNDERSTAND!

Title of Article--Police: Mom ordered daughters out, drove off.

I am not the most patient person in the world.  I'm sure this comes as a SHOCK to many of you but, it's very true.  I've had times where I had to go completely OFF to make sure and get my point across.

Perfect Mommy Committee Chair:  Bad Mommy, here's your demotion sticker, you're not welcome round these parts!

I just read this article about a 40+ year old woman with two daughters that were (fighting/bickering/squealing/acting like donkeys) in the back seat of the car.  I can picture it, she had a long day from work, picked her daughters up from school and all they can do is fight, argue and act up?  They're not toddlers, they're 10 and 12 years old.  Old enough to know better. Old enough to know when Momma is about to go completely OFF and it's high time to get their acts in order.

Well, turns out the mother had it up to her eyeballs in the nonsense and put her daughters out of the car.  Now, before you go wagging your judgmental fingers at her, think about the time where you were at your final wits end.  You were on your last nerve and the wind blew and your gasket was spent!  This has to be what this mom was going through.

I can't say that I completely AGREE with what the mom did only because I know people in this world are crazy, dangerous and love to prey on children.  I would not be able to forgive myself if something happened to them because I dropped their bratty asses off on the side of the road but, I can UNDERSTAND her frustration.

Mommas from back in the day would have pulled off one of her shoes, beat us in the head, all while keeping her eyes on the road.  Yeah, we wouldn't have had  a chance to do all that bickering in the back seat.  Times have changed!

I can only imagine if she decided to do more than drop them off on the corner.  You know how some stories go, Moms lose it and off their kids because they couldn't handle the pressure.  Sad but, you know it's true!

Repeatedly telling her kids to knock it off and they continue with the crap?  YEAH, I can see why she told them to exit stage left.  Screeching Michelin's and MOMMA was OUTTTA THERE!

Read the article, let me know what your thoughts are in the comment section.

Pranks!--How many of us (have/had) them??? Pranks!!

Has anyone ever played a prank on you? If so, what was it?

Have you ever played a prank on someone? If so, what was it?

What if this guy did this to YOU?

If you know me, then you know I can't stand pranks. I don't play them and I sure as heck don't like them being played on me.

My sense of humor doesn't involve humiliating anyone in the process. Poor Lady, I'm sure she peed herself. He looks grown so, I'm not sure telling his mother would do any good.

If I were the Aunt, I would have bust his head to the white meat!

Humph!

Dear Johnson's Company

Why did your company discontinue making this product:

I LOVED this product when my son was a baby.
I am due next month and I have looked all over
(Target, Walmart, Kmart, Babies R Us) for this product.
NO LUCK!
Insert really sad face right here. That's what I look like right now.

Ask the Pregnant Lady (updated with answers)

What are you craving or finding yourself eating that you usually wouldn't? Do you have a favorite food or drink that you want EVERY day?

I haven’t had any serious cravings. There’s nothing that I go crazy over and just have to have. If there’s one favorite food or drink, I’ll have to say Geyser’s Pomegranate Drink.

I drink ice water every single day. I have a favorite 16 oz cup that I fill up about 4 times a day and that’s my fill for the day.   Boring I know!

What's been your wackiest craving so far?
I crunch on ice. It’s a HORRIBLE habit. I am afraid that I’m anemic again. My recent blood work confirmed that I’m not. My teeth hate me.

Do You have a lot of heartburn?
No. I haven’t experienced any heartburn.

You only have 17 days!? Wow! How are you feeling?
I’m feeling anxious and excited.

With this pregnancy was it any different from your previous two? And if any, what were the differences?

My first pregnancy was a blur. I was very young and was still in High School. I graduated in June and gave birth in September. I didn’t experience any problems. The day of the delivery, I had to have an emergency c-section. They put me out for it. I must have been TRIPPING hard huh? LOL

My second pregnancy was smooth sailing. No issues. No bloating, No pain. The only "hiccup" happened was when I turned 20 weeks and found out I had Placentia Previa. Let the STRESSing begin. I bled at 36 weeks and my son was delivered a preemie. He was 5 pounds. He was fine. Didn’t need oxygen and was breathing on his own from day one.
Day three, he had jaundice, which resulted in him staying in the hospital for 2 more days. Thankfully the hospital allowed me to stay too.  Well, you know I wasn't going home without my baby anyway!

This pregnancy, overall, I feel great. I’ve gained 25 pounds, my feet are swollen and I’ve lost my ass but, other than that, I’m great! My only ‘advice’ to anyone considering having a baby, please try if possible to have all your babies before you turn 40.  Again, if you're over 40 and still working on having a baby, that's OK too.  I've just noticed at this stage in my life, my bones tend to make noises and it takes a little bit of time to get up to go and pee. Hah!

What is the best thing about being pregnant?
The best part about being pregnant is knowing that you’ve been chosen by God to bring a beautiful life into the world.

What is the worst part of being pregnant?
The nightmares. I’ve been experiencing the most awful nightmares this pregnancy. I wake up in a sweat because it seems that the nightmares are so real it’s scary! Another thing I think is the worst part is the ‘worry’ factor. You have to keep your thoughts in check and try not to ‘worry’ about every little twitch or wondering if everything is OK like every single day. It’s normal to feel this way but, I think it’s just the downside of being pregnant because you’re worrying and wondering what if this, what if that.

Are you at all concerned with reclaiming your school girl figure after you have the baby?
I’m not as concerned as I should be. I need to get serious about this. I would LOVE to get my school girl figure back.

Have you gotten any comments from people about having another child?
Wow! That’s a huge age gap. Did you plan it that way?
Why did you wait so long to have more?
Was this a planned pregnancy?
Are you planning to have more?
Were you trying?  How long did you try?

Or have people not said anything because your oldest is so much older?
I wish people would NOT say anything or at least not say anything off the wall to me. Whatever happened to just saying CONGRATS and moving along?  Seriously!
It would make things much easier. But, NO there’s always that one donkey in the crowd with some off the wall comment.
Perfect example, Danyelle was in the nursery taking care of DJ when he was born and a nurse questioned if they had the same father. WTF??????? Oh, you’re the sister? By the same dad?
REALLY??????????? You’re asking my daughter this question. Makes me annoyed that I taught her to respect her elders. Hah!

I am wondering if you had any morning sickness and if so, what did you do for it????
I am STILL UNFORTUNATELY HAVING MORNING sickness.  Please, don't let this discourage you if you're pregnant or trying to get pregnant.  Everyone's pregnancy is different.  With my other two pregnancies, I NEVER experienced any sickness.  I guess I'm just lucky this time around?  Sigh.

I thought you had a hysterectomy how is it possible that you're having a baby now?
I never said I had a hysterectomy.  When I was first diagnosed with multiple uterine fibroids, the first doctor gave me little hope and offered a hysterectomy.  I "fired him" that day, found a new doctor and had a myomectomy performed in 2001.  My newly found awesome and amazing doctor took very good care of me which resulted in my baby making parts being SAVED!    We were blessed with our son in 2004 and a baby on the way in May 2009.  We don't take our blessings lightly.

What will you miss most about this pregnancy?
Feeling my sweet baby move inside of me. It’s the most beautiful feeling ever.

What do you do when you're dead drop tired at 5pm and you still have to shower DJ and no one else is in the house, and there is still dinner to be prepared, but all you can do is just lay down and not move a single muscle?
I just lay (or lie?) down (send out a text for daddy or big sister to bring home dinner) and not move a single muscle. I’ve learned to not stress out when things like this happen. I’m pregnant, growing a life inside of me. It takes all of my energy, they understand or they starve. Even DJ can make a turkey sandwich!

Now, my all time favorite question:
@Tanyetta: I am REALLY trying to figure out how someone like you always gets people acting like they can just talk to you any kind of way. You're too dang sweet for all this nonsense. These fools act like you're a threat their peace of mind.

This is a very interesting question because I’ve often wondered the same thing. I would like to think I’m a pretty cool person.   I'm not perfect.  I can be sweet, sour or downright in your face if I have to be. But, for the most part, I’m easy like Sunday Morning.   It's not that serious to get all up in arms over an internet 'beef' ---Blogging will never become a burden to me. Once it does, then it’s time to pull the plug!

I don’t have "beef" with anyone that I know of and the ones that I don’t get along with aren’t in my life anyway so, they don’t really count.

I’ve noticed people that leave these ‘rude’ comments hide behind an anonymous or fictitious name. They take the coward way out, leave a snarky comment then run. When you try to respond to their email (noreply-comment@blogger.com) comes up.

It’s like they take time to create a profile and purposely omit their contact information for what? To be able to post comments and hide behind a made up profile. WHATEVS!!!!!

It’s quite hilarious and sad all at the same time.  Maybe it's true what you said, I am a THREAT to them.  They're pissed about my existence or something I suppose.

What they don’t realize is, once I make it my business to track down their IP address and check them on their sh*t, it will be on like popcorn!

To sum it all up:  I just don’t have the time nor energy (sound familiar) to even care.

Oh and did I mention,  I'm going to Disneyland!!!!

HaHa!!!

My most memorable experience with Craiglist was last year when I posted a stack of books for sale. The entire lot for $20. Which was a bargain because many of the books were brand new or just read only once.

I had a woman email and tell me instead of selling the books, I should donate them to my local library or to a local charity instead of trying to make a profit from selling my books. My first response was:

WHAT???????? Who the heck are you lady????????????? Well, that particular day I was NOT IN THE MOOD and I responded and told her to bite me.

I mean really, the NERVE! Ugh! Come to think of it, she NEVER RESPONDED to my offer. RUDE!

HaHa!

Final Ultrasound Day!

Final Ultrasound Day!

Our baby is measuring right on target and everything looks great.

The technician wanted to make sure we didn't want to find out the gender.

We all said at the same time:

NOOOOOOO!  Don't tell us!!!!!!!

She said it was so cool (probably called us crazy in her head) that we were waiting to find out.

The good news, we're almost there.

In less than a month (due in May), we'll meet our sweet bundle of joy.

Our lives will be changed forever and we are so blessed!

Thank you GOD for blessing our family beyond measure.

If you have any words of love you'd like for us to share with our sweet baby, feel free to post it in the comments.  I feel like our readers have been on this journey with us and will probably want to share some sweet words too.

Dj: (getting dressed for the waterpark today) Mommy whats the difference between sunscreen and sunblock? Mommy: i think they're the same. Dj: if you think does that means you don't know? Are you guessing? Mommy: yes, i am guessing they're the same. Dj: (pausing) ok, i will just ask daddy! He'll know!

Put the following in order!

I prefer email, texting, then the phone to keep in contact with people.

How about you?

Which do you prefer?

---------------------
My all time favorite way to keep in contact with people is texting.  It's quick, easy and to the point.
Email is my second best.
The telephone, I can take it or leave it.  I love connecting to people on the phone don't get me wrong, it's just that we're all busy and it's hard to figure out when a good time is to call or receive a call.
