1. When you send out electronic invitations (e-vites)-do you keep the guest list private OR do you publish it so that everyone can see who's coming? 2. When you receive an e-vite, do you check the list and make your decision on attending the party according to the guest list?

I always use Evites and keep the guest list public. I don't usually decide where I am going based on other people though, if I like the person throwing it and am free, I'm there! With a hostess gift people!
I'm with Olivia.
This list is public. However, you can make your profile private. This way there is no peeking at what party you went to and who else wasn’t invited. ;)
I have used it and made it public. I have accepted or declined to evites according to my schedule or if I actually wanted to go to that event.
I keep the list public. I never base my decision on who is going or not. My decision to attend it based on my schedule & the person who invited me.
From the time I started planning parties (5th gr) I realized people are silly and actually care who else is going. Nevermind honoring the host(ess) who's throwing out the invite...Blah. I used to reply to the 'who's coming? question with this, "I'm comin'. You interested or not?"
So God bless evite and their new privacy option. I always use it now, everyone's "curious cat" is too high these days.
It does reveal if you look at an invite and don't reply (to the host who sent it) so I try and reply when I open it up, even if my RSVP changes...
I've never sent an e-vite but all my friends do. The ones I've attended have posted the list. I did go thru and see who was coming or not. Im evil like that. Don't want to run into people I don't care to see.
