good babies and sleeping through the night.

What does 'sleeping through the night' mean to you?

If another person asks me if my baby is a good baby and if she is sleeping through the night, imma chin check them.

What is a "good baby" and what the heck is "sleeping through the night?"

I think sleeping through the night is 6 hours. Riiiight.

"Good baby" = Not driving parents nuts.

I take "sleeping through the night" as going to bed and not waking up for a feeding till the morning. Chase would be up every 3 hours for 3 or 4 months and then he started going to bed at 9 and sleeping till about 6:45. That was sleeping through the night for us.

As for a good baby....They are all good babies...fussy or not!

And, why pray tell are the two connected? All babies are good whether they sleep well or not.

I dislike it when I hear someone say their baby is good because the baby doesn't fuss. It wrecks my nerves. I agree with gomillion about all babies are good. I am getting mad just thinking about it.

This is normal conversation when you see a mom with an infant.

I know about the "good baby" comment. Everyone always said that about my precious one. She didn’t fuss and was always happy! When she could sit up, she was well behaved in public—no screaming or nonsense of any sort.

Um, I'm bragging, she's still "good!"

I also agree all baby's are good. Heck my daughter was up every two hours to eat and did not sleep well for months because of colic and I never thought she was a bad baby. Huh I think that is crazy. Baby's are baby's period.
