He walks over to get an envelope from the side desk and starts sounding out and wrote the following:
LETR (LETTER) He sounded out the L, E, T, R and came up with his own version of the word.
HOW CUTE IS THAT?????
He holds up the envelope and says, "Look Mommy, I wrote a Letter! I need to go and mail it now!"
I did what any proud mommy would do, ran to get the camera, gave him the biggest hug and told him how smart he was!
He ran to the mailbox and put the LETR in the box with the biggest smile on his face.
I'm sure the postmaster will appreciate the "LETR" during sort time.
