How to gross our daughter out in less than 60 seconds.

My husband left a card on the counter and inside the card he wrote:

Happy Birthday
To my Sweet Wife
1985-Life

So, so sweet-----He's a POET!!!

I showed Danyelle and pointed to his "poem"----She promptly excused herself from the room.

HaHa.

Funny thing is, she always says she's so happy her parents still go on date nights and that we like each other. She just prefers us to tone it down a bit when we're in public.

Huh? What are we embarrassing to her now? What's really going on Miss Danyelle?
Why we gotta tone down what we do? LOL She is toooo funny!

Question: What do you do to 'gross' your kids out? Do they think their parents are completely nuts for still showing affection after all these years or are they 'used to it' and glad their parents are going strong?

We are nooky enthusiasts and it drives my daughter nuts. I think it grosses her out to think of her parents in a sexual way.

Later in life, when she wants a husband who's openly affectionate to her, she'll thank us. LoL

Don't even worry about it. Kids will ALWAYS be grossed out by their parents to some degree. lol

She'll get over most of it in a few years.

Cody is still a little young for being embarassed by us. One thing he absolutely hates though is when I wear my big fur hat out in public. I look like a black Russian when I put it on.

Mine think it's gross when we kiss and they are only 5 & 6, they better be prepared to be grossed out some more for the next 40 years, at least..lol

Very cute! My boys have yet to be embarrassed by anything- but I'm counting down the days when I can use it against them (I think threatening to embarrass your kid is far more effective than any other form of punishment especially during the teen years lol).
