I'm watching BirdCage.
I watched it a long time ago but, just caught it at the part where the son (who's getting married) has asked his Dad and his partner (a man) to pretty much change who they are to impress his fiance's family.
The father hatches a scheme to go along with the son's plan. This SCENE is hilarious and yet so touching at the same time.
This made me think, what if my daughter decided to get married but, was EMBARRASSED of me and her dad. How sad would this be.
So glad she's very PROUD of her parents and would jump at the chance to introduce us to her fiance.
No, she's not getting married. I'm just using this as an example.
HaHa.

Yeah that movie is funny but as you said, kinda sad too.
I think if you're even in touch enough to think how sad if your daughter were ashamed, then you've really got it together. Some parents don't care or have a clue.
:(
Hey, I think I'm pretty damn cool... James however, thinks I'm embarrassing. Wha?! Are you serious?
Maybe it's just a 13 year olds jo Wha b to talk crap about mom?
Yeah, yeah that's it.
I'on know. I think I'd call up one of my lesbian girlfriends and ask her to be my wife for a few days... and walk around with chainsaw and a Corona, and see if the poor fella still wants to be a part of our clan.
Well hell, if I didn't do it, my husband would.
I was getting ready to say, "Da hell?" LOL Yeah, I loved Birdcage. You know I can't really answer the question. hehee
I just referenced that movie on Friday. Scary!
