Knitting, Taking Photos and acting a donkey.

Please, stop bringing your babies to the movie theaters. Especially when they start to holler and you think it will help by shushing them. Just stay home. The movie will be out on DVD in a month. Geez.

Oh.....there's more.

I can't stand going to the movie theater when someone next to behind or around me crunching and munching loudly on their snacks. Popcorn to be more specific. I mean come on already, is it that serious? Chew with your mouth CLOSED and slurping your drink too? I want to cause bodily harm to anyone that does this. Yes, it's that serious for me.

Well, just when I thought I had major pet peeves on what people do in the theatre, I came across Queen of Pith's post about this chick that started snapping photos and knitted (with ILLUMINATED NEEDLES) to a Musical. THE HORROR! Think I'm making this story up? Click HERE.

I know you have a story or two about going to the theatre, let's hear them!!!

Oh and please, leave a comment. You know it's rude to visit a blog and not at least say hello. Thanks.

Last weekend, I went to see "The Secret Life of Bees" and someone's cell phone kept going off! It was so rude that they just didn't shut the thing off- then finally the lady stood up and left the theatre- a man made sure she knew hoe he felt, and I was glad. People need to think about others once in a while- especially while at the movies!

People are just rude, that's all there is to it. I know it's just a movie, but it's my money and time, and those are things I value even if others don't. Amen to no babies, no cell phones, no knitting, no singing along and on and on and on...

Rude, rude, FREAKIN' rude.

Stop acting like you're the only one that can hear the child crying. Take him outside or leave. Close your freakin' mouth and act like you have a SMIDGE of hometraining. Shutcho daggone phone off and put it on vibrate. You're not THAT important.

My money and my time, and it shouldn't be compromised by a lame few.

Ahhhhh I hear that, but I have knit during movies, with plastic needles that don't make noise when they touch lol.

Adrienne, Why are you knitting during a movie? Please, break this down for me. Is the movie boring or is knitting just a relaxing event for you? :)

LOL It's a great way to finish a project, especially when it is something boring like stockinette stitch. I only do it when it is mindless knitting and something that I don't have to concentrate on. I do it all the time at home during movies.

Adrienne,

I'm talking about at the movie theater. Do you go to the movie theater with your knitting needles, pull them out and make it do what it do? LOL

Adrienne said...

Yep! I have before. Denise needles don't make a sound lol

I have two kids and we rarly go to the movies because at any moment the youngest could have a melt down. We always go to kid movies, so I don't worry too much when my kids laugh loudly or say something to me during the movie...it's a movie for kids therefore they can go...but what really gets my goat is when the kid in the row behind me keeps kicking my chair and mom does nothing about it...don't make me get up and turn around... it's not pretty. Hubby and I go to adult movies without the kids...they shouldn't be seeing 'The Legend', but some parents don't care and have their kids there anyways...we always go late at night as well...so the kids are tired and fussy.

Thanks for the plug!

I remembering going to see "Titanic" and sat behind some girls I thought were in their late teens. They talked the entire movie. After I tapped them on the shoulder, they turned and I saw they were much younger. I told them that if they cannot be quiet during a movie that maybe they shouldn't come. The mom of one of the girls then came up to me and said I should not talk to them like that!

OH Lordy! She did not just go there! I told her that her child needs to learn how to behave in a movie theater. Then I walked off.
