I can attest that I lose all cool points when it comes to emergency situations.
Imagine if you're coming from a long day of working and you're just trying to catch a subway ride home.
Then BAM this lady goes into labor and guess what.....it's all on YOU to help her.
Great news, you're a NURSE so, you know what to do but, what if you're a regular Joe?
Would you know what to do if someone went into labor and it's all on YOU to help her?

What would you do?
This LADY was in the right place at the right time. She was on hand to help deliver this woman's baby and another woman there to take photos (sounds like something I would do) plans on visiting her on Sunday to drop off photos of the event. Everyone clapped and cheered once Baby Soleil made her debut.
And to think some people have said........New Yawkas were RUDE!

Wow! glad someone was there to help.
i'm sorry. i really don't think i can help bring a child into the world unless i'm on the mom's head end... *shudder*
I would deliver the baby. I feel like after what I have been though over the past two years...going through a labor and delivery that is not my own would be a piece of cake! The body knows what to do...I would just work on keeping her calm.
Since I don't have any medical training (outside of CPR)I would do whatever I could to assist and help make her more comfortable.
There are rude folks everywhere, but, I believe they're way outnumbered by good people.
