Did anyone attend their High School Prom? Who helped with the choosing of your dress?
This young lady thought it would be a great idea to wear the following dress to her high school prom.

What are your thoughts?
Oh and I guess NO one saw that tat on her chest either? Lawd, when will the madness stop?
The guidelines are there for a reason. What made her think it was OK to wear this dress anywhere is beyond my understanding. Hey, I know times have changed. I grew up in a very modest household. The sight of cleavage freaks me out. I guess you can count me out on supporting this young lady and her poor excuse for a prom dress.
Questions:
Do you think this is a prom worthy dress?
Do you think it was fair to eject her from the prom?
I've seen a lot of people ask where the parents are in this. This young lady is about 17 or 18. Do you think at this age, parents have a say in what she would wear to a prom?

First, I don't even think this should be called a DRESS. It's some fabric. I didn't even watch the video because I saw a picture somewhere else. I don't want to hear her speak.
17-18, I don't care, she's in school, going to prom... she's a kid.
I can just hear my granny now - "What a hussy!"
This girl thinks she is full of it, but you know what - she has NO respect for herself. What image does she think she is promoting? Not that a woman deserves to be sexually assaulted, but what does she think she is saying about herself?
As for the parents, obviously they are not involved - hence the tattoo. I mean, I got a temporary tattoo at the age of 35 and flushed when my mom showed her disapproval.
Yeah, that chica knew she wasn't right, she knew but she did it anyway.
okay, I am a bit speechless right now! Actually the words that I am thinking are not appropriate or lady like for me to write.
UGH! So tasteless and I agree with the first person who commented that should not be called a dress because it's not. A few yards of fabric wrapped around her tattooed chest and ass.
She's got to be kidding and yes it's fair that she got kicked out. Did she think this was a gentleman's club?
I was 16 when I graduated and my mother trusted me enough to send me out with some money to Macy's to get my dress. It was a strapless and the shoulder was the only skin showing. It was long down to my ankles. This "young woman" on the other hand should have had someone involved in choosing the dress. W
Where did she get dressed? Weren't her parents home to send her off. Madness!
Then again, maybe mom bought the cloth and created her daughter's body wrap.
She obviously could not
WOW!! How times have changed. I'm shocked that this is labeled as a dress. But, the truely sad part about this story is that she hasn't been "parented." Yes, we all know this would have been impossible to even THINK about back in the day. She doesn't even realize that this dress only cheapens her. Even worse....ladies this is our new GENERATION X. Pray for them...they need it.
I have a big problem with kids at 17, and yes sometimes even 18 & 19 thinking they are grown! What did the parent say in all this mess?
The fabric she wore was inappropriate for a school function.
with all the missing & raped women in the world it still amazes me that these "young ladies" see nothing wrong with their clothes!
I posted about this earlier today. My kid would NOT have left her room, much less the house dressed like that! And it's not just because I'm an old fart, because my daughter thinks that it's gross and inappropriate for any occassion.
"I'd Pay $1.15 and nothing more for her services"..lol that was my Big bro's Response to me saying 2 dollar hussy!...she thought she was fly as a bird I bet.
Whew! I am glad my daughter's prom dress is long and elegant. My daughter does not want her chest showing either. I cannot believe some moms actually think it is cute for their daughters to dress like that. SMH.
OK, EVEN is it had enough material to cover her body - it's an UGLY PIECE OF WHAT EVER IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE!
The "prom dress" [in my opinion] is tacky **TO SAY THE LEAST*.
I think they should have allowed her the opportunity to change into something more suitable and come back...
The question however is how da hell her mother, father or other guardian would let her out like that in the first place?!?!?!
That was TRAShy! I dont think it was appropriate and since the school gave out guidelines and she didn't follow them she should have been thrown out.
That rag was tacky. It wasnt even cute. My child would not have been allowed to leave her bedroom in an outfit like that.
That's a hot dayum mess. That is material, not a dress. WTH? I went to my prom and I picked my own dress. It was a Japanese dress, and my mom made it for me.
I don't even know why she thought that was going to fly. If she was my child, she wouldn't have stepped out of my house with that on. She may be graduating, but she still living under my roof, so if I didn't approve of it, she wouldn't be wearing it.
omygoodness I 'm thinking SWIMSUIT.
not prom dress.
poor girl...I honestly feel for her. she has no clue.
thanks for the love link.
I'm a mom of boys so I can't imagine what some girls in general are thinking...
I just want to know where her momma and her people were when she walked out of the house looking like that. Her momma should not let her out of the house with those scraps of material on. It just screams out that she doesn't have any respect for herself.
Whatever happened to long gowns with puffy sleeves, silky material.
