Instant makeover, lipgloss, friends and a cake of a time

Here I am!

On my way to a women's brunch with my mommy group. Miss Danyelle snapped the photo. I checked with her before I left the house to make sure I looked ok. You know your kids are the best CRITICS. She gave me some tinted lipgloss to add color. She offered to do my eyelids with mascara or blush stuff and I declined.

I can't be bothered with makeup but, I gladly accepted the lipgloss. It's easy to put on and re-apply after it wears off. I had on a pair of flip flops and my daughter almost fainted. She looked me over head to toe and stopped at my feet. She said, MOM what are you doing? You are NOT going to wear those are you?

I'm thinking what? My shades? She went into her closet and gave me these pair of shoes to wear. She said mom, please don't wear those flip flops. They're messing up the entire outfit. I told her, I was just trying to be comfortable. I'm glad I listened to her. I got tons of compliments on my shoes and I took all the credit. Hah! :::::kidding::::::

I can hear Shoozy saying, "comfortable doesn't mean you have to look shabby. Please pull that look together" Stat!

After one more look over, I was 'allowed' to leave the house. Whew. Close call with the flip flops!

We have a great moms group!  Stephanie (pictured below) hosted a Mom's Day out brunch at her home on Saturday.  It was a celebration of Us brunch.  We feasted on a scrumptious meal and unlimited mimosas.

We had a raffle of some AWESOME prizes and can I just tell you, I won the basket I was CROSSING my fingers to get. Talk about luck of the draw. If I can work my magic for the winning numbers on the lottery then we're in business baby!

Take a double take.  Notice anything about the cake?  Gotta love Costco.  They have the best cakes.  You can't get mad at them for this one.  Or can you?  Would you have asked for your money back or something?
Look at us!  We clean up pretty well wouldn't you say?  Not too shabby!

Here's Mackenna's mommy! We were once told that we're thick as thieves.  Hey, what can we say!

Can you tell we're all really excited about a day out without our sidekicks (and I'm not talking about the Tmobile phone either) haha!
We had a great day!  We should do this once a month. Rotate at each other's homes and just have a grand old time!  Great idea.  I'll get right on that.
